Sam Lacey is a proud graduate of Auburn University and earned his Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. After completing his studies, Sam joined Coopers & Lybrand, where he met his future business partner, Charlie Orth. Together, they founded Lacey & Orth, a firm that grew from modest beginnings to become a trusted provider of tax, accounting, and advisory services throughout Metro Atlanta.
Sam has been happily married for 56 years and is the proud father of two children and grandfather to five. A dedicated Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan, he’s never shy about offering a spirited cheer—or a detailed analysis of last night’s game. Sam has been a member of Ansley Golf Club for over 50 years, where his golf game remains as steady as his accounting advice.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Sam’s service instilled a commitment to excellence that he carries into every aspect of his life. And if you’re looking for a good tax deduction and a better golf swing, Sam’s your guy—though he might suggest you keep your day job.
